Yoga Foundation Course 2026

This six month course is for those who want to deepen their practice and study of yoga. Across one Sunday per month we’ll explore the following topics:

– History of yoga, different styles, modern traditions and their difficulties.
– Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga, ethics and lifestyle.
– Mindfulness and meditation, embodiment and presence.
– Listening and compassion practices.
– Asana and alignment in more depth.
– Inversions.
– Pranayama.
– Developing a home practice.

The sessions will be in-person only and the group will be kept small. Registration is by application. Each session will comprise of talks, group discussion, practical movement elements, sharing, meditation and relaxation. Sessions will not be recorded, but if you miss a session you’ll have access to notes and any handouts. Sessions cannot be booked separately.

There will be some course reading to undertake before each module. All the readings will be shared digitally so you won’t need to buy books, although there’ll be a list of recommendations should you choose to read more. We also hope you will do some home practice between each session.
