August Intensive

  • The Stables Yoga Centre 10A Nunmill Street York, England, YO23 1NU United Kingdom (map)

August is a great month for being active: its holiday season, the days are long, the weather is warm and we're more inclined to venture out and about. The August Intensive challenge offers an opportunity for just that with five consecutive days yoga early morning yoga practice.

On this Monday to Friday practice you'll get to make the most of the light-filled summer mornings with daily 7-8am flow class designed to energise and awaken the body and mind. The sequence of dynamic, flowing hatha yoga will vary each morning, but always end with a soothing, guided relaxation leaving you ready to face the day ahead. As an open level class, options will be offered to suit your level of ability although as the Intensive features a flowing style of yoga it is not recommended for the complete beginner. Some experience (especially of sun salutations) is advisable.

Each Intensive focuses around a theme with the aim of offering insight into the broader range of yogic philosophies and practices. The theme for August's Intensive is 'Cultivating presence: Mindfulness in action'. Across the course of the week, we'll explore the versatile practice of mindfulness and how it can supercharge your yoga: cultivating calm and positively impacting your wellbeing.

All classes will be recorded to offer the option of practicing again or at a later date.

Studio £45 / Zoom £40 (Early bird discount ends 02/08/24).
